Module 1

TODAY’S ASSIGNMENT

Welcome to Module 1 one of the visual brand challenge. I’m Joey, your instructor.

Today’s assignment is to collect your business collateral.

Collateral includes any printed or digital graphics you’ve used to promote your business. Don’t panic if
you can’t find everything you’ve ever created. Remember, this challenge is to audit what you do have.
Collateral can be a business card, a website, or even an invoice.

Use the collateral checklist on page four as a guide. Likely, you won’t have everything on that list, but itI’ll remind you of what you do have and make this activity easier to complete. Once you’ve collected all
the collateral you can find, put it in a stack. Then clear up some desk space, floor space or bulletin board
space that can be left untouched for the next three days or so.

You’ll need it for day two of the challenge. I’ll see you tomorrow.

KEY TIPS

  • Watch today’s video (above).
  • Read and complete page 4 of the Visual Brand Challenge Workbook.
  • Collect one of each of your marketing materials.
  • Avoid spending too much time handling large exhibits, banners, and other signage. Instead, take a smartphone picture and print it out to create smaller, more manageable versions for display.
  • Prepare for Module 2 by clearing a space on a floor, bulletin board, or desk large enough to accommodate your spread-out materials.
