Envelopes are usually white or another solid color. But recently I used some fun decorative paper I discovered in an empty, unused scrapbook to make a homemade envelope. The envelope template used here goes with the layered card.
Using the template, cut out the envelope shape along the cut line.
Follow steps 1-4 at the bottom of the template sheet. Use your ruler to fold down the bottom and side panels (steps 1, 2, and 4).
Apply a very thin line of glue along the bottom outer sides of the right and left panels (step 3).
Fold the bottom panel onto the glue and press down to make it stick. Smooth it with the ruler.
Then use the ruler to neatly fold the top panel down. Don’t glue it until you’ve inserted your card or note inside. If you don’t want to use glue to seal it, you can use regular double-stick tape, a cool sticker or decorative tape.
